StatSheet is now projecting Harvard as an eight seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Crimson are, at this point, on track for an automatic bid, but they won't need to win their conference tournament as they're the #25 team in the AP Poll and sit at #23 in the StatSheet StatRank. They have a 21-2 overall record and a 7-0 record in the Ivy League.
During its last four games, Harvard bolstered its record with wins against Pennsylvania, Columbia, Cornell, and Brown.
Harvard has little experience against top competition, with a 3-1 record against the RPI Top 100 that includes a 2-1 record against the RPI Top 50 and a 1-0 record against AP ranked teams. While the Crimson have two quality wins including RPI #48 St. Joseph's (PA) and AP #15 Florida State, they're also dinged with a bad loss to RPI #220 Fordham.
The last four teams into the NCAA Tournament with at-large bids are Purdue (15-9, 5-6 Big Ten, StatRank #57), Brigham Young (20-6, 8-3 West Coast, StatRank #43), Arkansas (16-8, 4-5 SEC, StatRank #65), and Texas (15-9, 5-6 Big 12, StatRank #55).
The first four teams out are Colorado (16-8, 8-4 Pac 12, StatRank #71), Minnesota (17-8, 5-7 Big Ten, StatRank #69), Ole Miss (14-9, 4-5 SEC, StatRank #68), and Oregon (17-7, 8-4 Pac 12, StatRank #70).
The next four out are Arizona (17-8, 8-4 Pac 12, StatRank #64), Iona (19-6, 11-3 MAAC, StatRank #56), St. Joseph's (PA) (15-10, 5-5 A-10, StatRank #48), and Xavier (16-8, 7-3 A-10, StatRank #61).
